Leave those expensive masterpieces to the galleries and create your own works of art out of your very own photos! Whether it’s ocean pics of your honeymoon or flower close-ups from a weekend hike, you can decorate your walls with color and personality without forking over tons of moolah. My fave? The Art.com Photos to Art option, which allows you to upload your images quickly and easily (hi-res recommended) and choose how you want your pic displayed. You can opt for just the print in a range of sizes (typically around $20 or less) or you can have the print delivered framed, wrapped on canvas or even mounted behind acrylic (costs vary) and it gets delivered right to your door complete with the pieces you’ll need to hang your new art. Plus, if you’re not happy with your pic, you can get a full refund for up to 30 days. Sure, you could have another Van Gogh poster hanging above your bed, but why not have a framed pic that means so much more to you and the hubby?

My personal recommendation: I love to switch up the look of my photographs in Photoshop before turning them into wall art! By adding Filters to the image (I like Dry Brush) you can make them look less like a photograph and add a more artistic edge.
