Save Time in…Washington DC

Bens Chili Bowl

You won’t be in want for tourist attractions in our nation’s capital, with museums, monuments and government buildings every which way you wander (and many are even free!). But, if you’re wondering where all the local DC folk are headed, you’ll want to find your way over to U Street and a Washington landmark of another sort – Ben’s Chili Bowl! A DC institution since 1958, local DC peeps swear by the eats dished out at the counter of this small 50’s diner feeling restaurant, which is why you’ll probably have plenty of company when you stop by, especially for some late night chili and chilling. The signature Bill Cosby’s Original Chili Half-Smoke with pork and beef smoked sausage topped with onions, mustard and homemade sauce on some warm buns is worth the trip. Hey, even the Prez has stopped by for lunch – so you know it must be good.
